If you are a cat owner, then chances are you know how much they love to play. Purchasing special made cat toys from pet stores is very expensive and there are always other alternatives. You can easily find things around your home that your playful kitty cat would love to play with, and more than likely they’ve found them already, but you haven’t noticed. Simple things found around your house that would make kitty playtime fun are flashlights, balled up pieces of paper, balls of yarn and many others. Just watch what your cat gets into. Your cat isn’t getting into these things to be bad or mischievous they are trying to find something to play with. Letting a cat play will a balled up piece of paper is better than your feline attacking the goldfish in the fish bowl because he or she was bored. If you want to get really creative and make a toy for your cat yourself here are a few ideas. Tie a piece of ribbon to a stick and set the stick somewhere so that the ribbon hangs down in mid-air. Your cat will love to jump up and try to slap at the ribbon hanging at the end of the stick. You can also place a couple of dry beans into an emptied plastic water bottle. You don’t need any more than maybe 10 beans; this will make enough noise to get your kitty cat interested. The noise will intrigue your cat as he or she slaps it all over the house. This craft, however; isn’t the best toy for your cat if you like to have a quiet household. If you don’t think any of the toys will work for your cat, just keep a close on eye on what your cat like to play with around the house on a regular basis, and create a toy from that.
